Week six, like any other week of College Football provided upsets, blowouts, and nail-biting games. On this week’s edition of winners and losers, find out who won the week and who didn’t fare too well.

WINNER: FLORIDA

It is pretty clear why Florida deserves a spot on this list. Last week the Gators upset previously top 5 ranked and undefeated LSU. UF quarterback, Felipe Franks passed for 127 yards on 12 completed passes. By no standards did Franks play terrific, but he played good enough to get the victory and put his team on this week’s winners collum.

LOSER: STANFORD

Two weeks ago Stanford was a top ten team who was playing for a CFP appearance.  Flash forward to today the Cardinal are not even ranked. In this week’s disappointment, Stanford was blown out at home to a mediocre Utah team. To be fair to Stanford, Bryce Love was sidelined due to an ankle injury. However, even without Love, this should have been an easy win for the Cardinal.

WINNER: NOTRE DAME

Notre Dame proved their doubters wrong once again. The Irish went on the road and shellacked #24 Virginia Tech. Ian Book continued his terrific play. Book passed for 271 yards and two touchdowns.  If Book continues his great play ND could actually make a push for the College Football Playoff.

LOSER: TEXAS

Texas is back! The Longhorns held the most impressive win of week 6. Texas took down top ten ranked Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry. Sam Ehlinger passed for 314 yards and two touchdowns. With Texas back the rest of College Football better take note.
