The regular season has come to an end and we’ve decided here at RedCup sports to acknowledge the awards for the best players in the Pac 12 as well as coach of the year and surprising teams.

Pac 12 Offensive Player of the Year: Gardner Minshew II QB Washington State

Gardner put up electrifying stats that wowed College Football as one of the most out of no where QB’s we’ve seen in years. Minshew finished his lone year starting for the Cougars with 4,477 yards and 36 touchdowns, along with 102 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground. Minshew cemented a one year legacy in Pullman and he’s a name many people won’t forget.

Honorable Mention Eno Benjamin, RB Arizona State. Laviska Shenault, WR Colorado. Joshua Kelley RB UCLA. N’Keal Harry WR Arizona State.

Pac 12 Defensive Player of the Year: Ben Burr-Kirven LB Washington

The projected Top 10 pick in the 2019 Draft had a fantastic season, nearly doubling his tackle total from a year ago and snagged a couple interceptions as well as forcing 4 fumbles. Burr-Kirven is in on basically every play and has captained this Washington defense to their 2nd Pac 12 title in the previous 3 seasons.

Honorable Mention: Evan Weaver, LB California. Thomas Graham Jr. CB Oregon. Byron Murphy CB Washington. Bradlee Anae DE Utah.

Pac 12 Coach of the Year: Chris Peterson Washington

Most people would’ve Mike Leach due to the emergence of Gardner Minshew, but Chris Peterson had to do a lot of replacing in 2018, but still was able to reign supreme.
