The Eagles went into the half up 32-30 but couldn’t keep the Hokies contained in the 2nd half as Virginia Tech exploded for 47 points to Boston College’s 34. The Hokies were lead by Nickeil Alexander-Walker, who scored 25 points, and Kerry Blackshear, who scored 20. While the Hokies were struggling on offense in the first half, Nickeil and Kerry kept the Hokies in the game scoring when they could and playing exceptional defense. Boston College made a surge at the end of the game bringing the Virginia Tech lead to just 6, but the Hokies found a way to pull out in the end.
