After the semifinals the two higher seeds emerged victorious. As Saint Mary’s had a seven point win over San Diego. While Gonzaga put a 26 point beating on Pepperdine.
Gonzaga(30-2)(16-0 Conf.) vs Saint Mary’s Gaels(21-11)(11-5 Conf.)
This game could be a must win for Saint Mary’s if they look to get into the NCAA Tournament. Even if the Gaels play with the most intensity they have all season it will not be enough for them to win. Gonzaga won both games against the Gaels in the regular season by 14 points or more. This game should be a defensive clinic for Gonzaga as they only allow 65 points a game and in their last matchup, Saint Mary’s scored just 55 points. The Gaels will put up a spirited effort against the Bulldogs, but the talent of this team will just be too much for the Saint Mary’s. Bulldogs: 72 Gaels: 64
