Strengths:
Size and length give him a ton of versatility as a defender.
Only 18. Has a lot of untapped potential.
Uses body well on the boards.
Has shown flashes of being a very good playmaker.
Weaknesses:
Very inefficient scorer. 40.6/30.8/62.5 Clip.
Will likely need 1-2 seasons in the G League.
Will need to tighten up handles. Often out of control.
Hasn’t displayed a lot of touch around the basket.
NBA Comparison:
Offense: Bigger Eric Gordon/ Defense: PJ Tucker
This one’s tough due to Horton-Tucker’s weird frame and just the fact that he’s only 18. If he develops offensively, he could look a lot like Eric Gordon who has a variety of offensive skills and can light a team up from beyond the arc. Defensively, the way he uses his size reminds me of PJ Tucker who can lockdown when he’s focused.
NBA Draft Outlook:

Ideal Fits:
Boston at 22:
Boston values versatility in their wings and Horton-Tucker is one of the most versatile guys in the draft. He would be given a secondary role his first few seasons and given a chance to develop as a shooter/defender on a playoff team.
Cleveland at 26:
The Cavs have very little talent and could pick up a high ceiling guy in Horton-Tucker at 26. He would be able to get some minutes immediately and potentially have a major offensive role off the bench. His ability to create offense at 18 is very promising and he would get that chance in Cleveland.
