Game Recap:

This was a blowout from start to finish. Pitt( 6-4, 5-1 ACC) raced out to a 17-0 lead in the 1st quarter and didn’t look back.  The Panthers had a school record 654 total yards with 492 of those yards coming from the ground. Pitt RB Darrin Hall led the Panther’s rushing attack with 186 yards and a touchdown on Senior day for Pitt. Pitt now has clear control of the ACC coastal division. For Virginia Tech (4-5, 3-3 ACC) the defense looked atrocious in this game allowing Pitt to score 31 points in just the 1st half and 52 for the entire game. Despite the blowout QB Ryan Willis had a pretty good game throwing for 231 yards and three touchdowns.

Player of the Game:

RB Qadree Ollison

The Hokie’s defense could not stop Ollison as he had 16 carries for 235 yards and three touchdowns. Olson’s 31 yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter sealed the game for Pitt.
