ACC Power Rankings for Week 3, 2019
I will start this off by stating a quote from one of my favorite movies: “OH NO, WE SUCK AGAIN!”- Townie, The Waterboy. Yes, the ACC is back to reverting to its original form where only Clemson and one other team will do anything special. Lets see how things stack up:
ACC Atlantic:
- Clemson Tigers (2-0, 1-0)
- NC State Wolfpack (2-0, 0-0)
- Boston College Eagles (2-0, 1-0)
- Wake Forest Demon Deacons (2-0, 0-0)
- Syracuse Orange (1-1, 0-0)
- Louisville Cardinals (1-1, 0-0)
- Florida State Seminoles (1-1, 0-0)
ACC Coastal:
- Virginia Cavaliers (2-0, 1-0)
- North Carolina Tarheels (2-0, 1-0)
- Virginia Tech Hokies (1-1, 0-1)
- Miami Hurricanes (0-2, 0-1)
- Duke Blue Devils (1-1, 0-0)
- Pittsburgh Panthers (1-1, 0-1)
- Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (1-1, 0-1)
Thoughts on the Atlantic:
I’m going to talk about anybody but Clemson this time. I am liking how NC State is going so far, their offense is seeming to click after losing Gallaspy and Finley. Boston College and Wake Forest are showing that they can produce solid football weekly with some talented offenses. Syracuse absolutely got violated by Maryland, I think the team might have to have the season off after that one. And Florida State, you are pond scum to me.
Thoughts on the Coastal:
I really thought it was going to be a wire down to North Carolina and Virginia, up until North Carolina almost blew the game to Miami. This is expected though because they have a young team. Virginia Tech looked less than decent against Old Dominion, who they should’ve put more points up against. And the only bad parts of the Coastal this week were Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech, who shelled out some pitiful performances against lesser teams.
