The Good, Bad, and Ugly: Week 2, 2019
Ok now, we are getting back into normal college football again. Only some minor hiccups by teams, yet again, showed us that we are heading back in the right direction. Week 2 gave us some excitement for the season down the road, as we are already seeing prime matchups form. Now lets go over what we saw:
The Good: Tearin-Pins
If you told me before this season started that Maryland will have won their first two games by an average margin of 61 points, I would think you were crazy. And this team continues to roll through teams that should give them some fight. It just seems that everything for Maryland, offensively and defensively, is going smooth. If this continues, we could see some upsets this season within the Big Ten East.
The Bad: Oh Wolverines…
I hate to say it, but Michigan will sit behind Ohio State for another year and watch their counterparts drive the Big Ten East. Let me put it into perspective for you: 3 fumbles, 3 turnover on downs, and 1 missed field goal (granted it was 43 yards). I don’t know how Jim Harbaugh is planning on beating Ohio State or Penn State after winning a game they essentially should have lost.
The Ugly: Willie Taggart
My prediction stands clear for next week. If Willie Taggart loses by 21+ to Virginia, then Florida State will have a new head coach plain and simple. Once again, the Seminoles had another Samford situation (yes SAMFORD, not STANFORD). Willie Taggart is showing his inadequate ability to coach Power 5 football and it is hurting one of the most storied programs of all-time. I am 100% sure that Florida State Program Donors were not too thrilled to see their team “win” by 1 in OT to UL-Monroe.
